The slithering, belly crawling kind that terrify me. They are not dead. One slithered back under the step. The other went across the yard.

Look like black snakes to me, not venomous.
I had one kept trying to live under frt steps few years back. I even moved him twice. He had to go...

I keep a machete and grabbers handy for any snake issues. I've had to dispose of a few venomous snakes unfortunately. Copperheads are a tad aggressive..

Hey Jim, Ever since I lived in Upstate NY back in the 80s,
I've been using Sevin on Japanese Bettles.
They followed me out here, and that stuff still works on them.

I buy it concentrated, and mix up 1 to 2 quart jugs up per year.
Fuggers only bother ornamental bushes around here.
Bayer makes it. Used Ortho back in my NY days.

My last dog Noki was overly sensitive to chemicals so I didn't use any.
I put traps out for them now and spray the rose bushes sometimes, don't recall what I use on them offhand.
