I wanted to take a few moments of your time and ask all to "Help me, Help you". As you know, the Coast Guard is currently dealing with a substantial personnel gap that Headquarters leadership is taking action to fill. One of the opportunities now available to all of our active, reserve, civilian, retired and auxiliary forces is the "Everyone is a Recruiter Incentive Program". I realize that all of you are extremely busy, but please take a few moments and become familiar with this program and get the word out to your folks.

-Active or Reserve members will be awarded a Commandant's Letter of Commendation (LOC) following an applicant's successful completion of initial training. (i.e. Recruit Training, Direct Entry Petty Officer Training (DEPOT), Direct Commission Officer (DCO), Officer Candidate School (OCS), Academy Swab Summer etc.)

-Applicant's defined for meeting LOC/ requirement: (1) Female, (1) Minority (Ethnic and Racial), Any accession not previously listed (must recruit 2 applicants). Any member that successfully recruits 3 or more will be considered for awards outside of the scope of this program on a case-by-case basis.

it's more important to some to observe the color of your skin over the content of your character. sad.

and yet, these same agitators are mute when you point out that a disproportionate number of NBA players are black. oh, that's because those positions are based on merit.....
