Default 18th Annual Beachcombers Corvette Club Car Show
June 13 - Beachcombers Corvette Club 18th Annual Car Show. Open to all makes and years cars & trucks. Dealership trophies, multiple classes, vintage & modern awards. Dash plaques (limited to first 120 entries). Food, music and awards! This is a great show--you don't want to miss it! Pre-Registration (thru 06/05/10) $20.00. Registration on the day of the show $25.00. Registration 9-11 AM. Participant judging 11 AM-1 PM. Awards 3-3:30 PM. Proceeds from auction and 50/50 to benefit the Foodbank of Southeastern VA. Last few years there have been about a hundred Vettes and 30-60 other cars at this show. Silent Auction and Raffle items are usually pretty cool too.

I think Tom the DJ from Smithfield that was at Waterside is doing the show again this year too.

There will be 17 trophies as well as dash plaques. Food will be available from Dominic's of New York and the Mr Frostee Soft Ice Cream truck. Music will be provided by DJ Tom Norris.

This is a good show, and lots of fun. Not sure if I will be able to make it yet, but if you have not done it at least once, it is worth doing.

I put my car in with everyone else but don't care to be judged for trophies and opt out if there is space on the registration form. I go just to hangout and BS that way I can leave whenever I want and don't feel obligated to stay until the end when they annouce the winners. I feel the guys doing the customizing and restoring deserve the awards, not some dude like me buying a new Vette and slapping some parts on it.
