If any of you are looking for a 100% perfect condition in the original box Canon 50mm 1.4 prime lens let me know. I'm putting one on ebay this upcoming week. It is a great lens by all accounts. The only reason I'm selling is because I received a gift certificate from Sigma and using it to purchase their new 50mm 1.4 ART lens coming out soon. PM me if interested. Here are some shots I took yesterday morning of my girls.

The Sigma lens is unusually expensive for a 50mm prime at that aperture. Have you used it? Is it that much better than Canon's offering?

It's not been released yet. They are supposed to be shipping at the end of the month (pre orders). Every preliminary test is so good they are not really comparing it against Canon or Nikon...the benchmark being used the the Zeiss Octus which runs just under $4k! I have the new sigma art 35mm and that is the sharpest 35mm you can buy (or so say the tests)...blows away the 35L (which I used to own) the 50mm is supposed same quality. On top of that the new sigma lens hook into their own focusing dock for immediate calibration. Sigma is doing amazing things right now with their new lenses!

Some reviews have the Sigma beating the Zeiss, and the Zeiss has been rated by far the best. http://www.imaging-resource.com/news...y-is-that-good

Thanks for helping that would be great. My copy is excellent and it does a great job at f2.0 plus...definitely usable, but abit soft at 1.4. aftermarket lens hood (they do not come with one), that I'm going to include with it. When I bought it the lens was $399 (that is what they normally retail for without the current rebate going on) and $25 for the lens hood.

I would take $260 for it shipped for free anywhere in the US. Thanks again.

Yes, I just got it in a few days ago. Too be honest I had (2) other big shoots which I really could not use the lens so that being said I only have a few shots in it now. It is everything it was hyped to be IMO, build quality is outstanding.
