Does size matter?
When it comes to spark plug wires?
I have been looking around for plugs and wires for when I do the headers and noticed different size wires....8.5mm, 9mm, 10.2mm, etc....what do I need to look for?

The Corvette wires are so short the OEM wires are good for high power applications, more power than most sane people will ever see.

A new set of stock GM wires are all you need.
I'm using the 10.4mm Taylor Thundervolt wires, which have worked fine for me, but at $75/set, aren't exactly the cheapest game in town. While there may be no real performance benefit with the expensive wires, the boots on the Taylors are noticeably better than stock (and MSD wires too), they make for a very positive and secure connection at both the coil and plug. Don't know if I'd ever spend that much on wires again, but with 20k miles or so on them (with no metal insulators or kool sox), I have no regrets in choosing them. |

For what you get, that doesn't look like a terrible buy, because the iridium plugs alone run around $50/set...but it does not say which heat range/gap plugs are included (TR5IX, TR55IX, TR6IX).
I would at least ask the seller for that clarification before buying. The equivalent copper electrode NGK's are a bunch cheaper, more like $2 ea, not $7ea, but downside is they are not as long-lasting as the iridium. I'm running TR6IX iridiums in mine (with close to 12:1 CR), but for a stock engine, the stock heat range/wide gap TR55 (copper) or TR55IX (iridium) are the better choice. |

Hmm I am guessing the OEM wires are like what 60bucks? Since Bosch is like 70 at Autozone. Well RK chevy parts dept is closed or I would have called haha.
I usually bought my TR6's from Autozone pretty cheap. TR55s are like 3 bucks a pop there when I jsut called. The Copper type. Iridium is like 7 bucks a pop.

As mentioned above, stock wires and a set of "koolsox".

ok, so I went ahead and picked them up from Ebay...should be here in a week.
Brian, after next weekend's C&C if you are not busy right after, would you mind stopping by my folk's house with me, taking a look at what is in the box and letting me know what else I need?
