First time I’ve seen this in years. Had to take it outside to try and get some natural light on it. It’s none the worse for the wear from sitting in my closet.

Well the first parts got here. String ferrules. They go in the back of the body and hold the strings.

I actually have three guitars though I don’t play. I have an HM Strat, the American Standard, and a Kramer. I used to play keyboards (which I also still have- Roland, Ensoniq), and since I was in the music industry at one time, I figured it would be good to have some guitars available for friends that would stop by. Of course these days, all of the equipment just takes space in my closet. I looked up my Roland Juno 106 analog synth and found that they go for much more than I originally paid. Apparently, there is a demand for this particular synthesizer.

I still have my first electric, a 75 Les Paul from Gibson’s custom shop. Cost me $500 to get it back to playable condition. Frets were gone. I kept my Mesa Boogie and sold it for the same amount I paid for it ($1,600 in 1991). Turned around and spent that money on my 64 Fender Deluxe. I have one instrument I would probably sell - my back up strat that matches my C2. But I gave it to my son (who couldn’t care less amd doesn’t play. It even has a custom head stock decal that says Corvette Stingray amd then his name under in small lettering. Can’t sell that. It was made for me back in the 80’s - not sure it would bring more money than its sentimental value. Although it is a top, pro instrument made by a very good luthier. I think I paid $3k for it. Keep your stuff! |

I have a Telecaster copy myself. Lots of work has been done on it, far more than it's worth, I'm sure. Serious question, does anyone make a Tele bridge that moves the saddle of each string individually instead of in pairs? On mine, when I intonate the guitar it's impossible to get evert string perfect. Moving two at once is always a tiny compromise, at best.
