When I used to watch, Daytona, Talladega and Bristol were my favorites. The rest of the tracks were bland

Guessing that's why they changed. Racing dirt at Bristol, COTA, and a few other changes. Might actually be interesting instead of the plethora of 1.5M tri-ovals that have dominated the schedule of late.

When I used to watch or go to the races, the short tracks were the best. Of course this was all before the Car of Tomorrow and crap. They ruined the sport by doing all that shit.
Richmond, Bristol and Dover were the tracks we used watch the race live at. Good hard racing on those tracks for sure!

So, they did get the race going again after the rain delay right? Restarted with 17 cars knocked out of the field (beautiful pile up, BTW). Who actually won?

I made it home in Clearwater just past 4:00 AM after dropping my dad off in Spring Hill. If you take out the last lap, my drive across a foggy peninsula was more exciting than that race. I wonder if they got everyone together during the rain delay and told them not to fugg around so they could get the race in.

It has to do with NASCAR's exceedingly stupid Damaged Vehicle Policy. It's too complicated and stupid to attempt to explain. The short version is that sometimes a wrecked car can be fixed and continue racing no matter how long the repair takes, and other times it can't because the repairs took longer than 6 minutes. Yes, really.
