Tow dolly under the wheels. Easy as pie. Also-- a sawzall thru the half shafts in less time than it takes to cut the cat off of a car. One of the best I've seen, and I had one for my Model T, is a huge steel 'U" that slips through the spokes on the wheel and locks. You have to try to cut it off or pick the lock. Car won't roll, but can still be winched onto a rollback. When I drove a tow truck, I've had to pull locked vehicles that were in park with the brake on up onto the bed. It was easy with the winch we had. Anything can be stolen. You just have to make it enough of a hassle so the scumbags go to easier prey.

I drove both the C7 and C8 Stingray at the NCM Track, and have a few thousand miles on my C8. If you want a seat of the pants experience, find another C7 standard trans. That thing was a blast. If you want something that you don't feel accelerating you toward the speed of sound, get a C8.

Go try and get a drive in one. It's hard to describe the C8 acceleration, as you see it on the gauges but don't feel it in the seat. Put it in track mode and you actually feel the shifts, but it's still very refined.

Having said all that, the C8 has insane handling (tightest Corvette I've ever driven) that actually will surprise you for the first few weeks. Was unsettling at first because you really need to drive it. Once I got used to the sensitivity and settings, I found that this is an excellent cruising car that is silly capable on the track.

Headed to Fellows next week to beat the crap out of one of their cars to find the edge.

I have a m7 z06, and to do one better; two c6s with stuck in park syndrome. Lanyard back door in the center console.

I agree, just not a fan yet but I said the same thing about the C7 and ended up owning one. I'm in the market for the next car/toy, tax season is over and we had a really good year with our investments in 2023 and pretty much settled into retirement going on three years so now is the time.

I have narrowed it down to a late model Hellcat Challenger or a GT500 Mustang. Time for a change.

Then I ended up buying one.

Pretty sure my corvette ownership days are over. I don't even particularly like the C6 anymore, and I did (owned 3 of them).

I like the earlier C3's but good ones are too costly for me to justify.

And admittedly, a lot of it is a personal change in lifestyle. Hard to drop 100 large on a 2 seater car that would be driven a dozen times a year. When a HVAC cab 60-75HP tractor tops the want list.

C8 is another level over C7. Hence why I'm upgrading from my '21 C8 Z51 to a '24 Z06. I fricking love this car, and it has very few equals.
