Default New Van
The wife and I are working on taking a little trip on route 66. We bought a Ford Transit Connect about a year and a half ago to eventually take our dogs with us. The Transit connect was good but just not enough room in it. We looked at motor homes but decided they were not practical and didn't give the room for the dogs and us. I stumbled upon conversion vans and ordered one thru Explorer vans in Warsaw Indiana. We ordered it in July and took delivery today. The thing is great. The dogs climbed right in and went out for their evening ride tonight and loved it. My wife climbed up in it and instantly felt at home and ready for a road trip. Another couple weeks and I'll take that long sought after vacation with a road trip with the Family.
I'll get some pictures when it is light tomorrow.

Yeah, don't know about those shoebox vans but I had 3/4 ton Dodge custom conversion back in the 80's that was unstoppable. I'd haul my dirtbike out to the swamps in that thing. Went down some super nasty trails and never once got stuck. Having stuck 4WD trucks on numerous occasions it was amazing.

We ordered the van in mid July and with all the chip shortages it took until the second week of October to be delivered to Explorer vans. Two weeks to get the interior redone and picked it up Friday. The 6.6 drives nice, good power good torque. Doing some more clean up today and checking on another floor mat where I took the passenger captain chair out for more room. The dogs are happy they have more room to stretch out in now. When I talked with Explorer vans, this was the only extended van in all US inventory. They have a few of the 7 passenger vans but not what they call they classify as a 9 passenger van. Gonna try out the TV, Blue Ray and Apple TV shortly. Trying to get everything set up for the wife.

When i was stationed in Seoul, the rich and famous there always wanted vans more than BMWs and limo's. Space is at a premium, but they would go for hundreds of thousands of $$$ before getting decked out.
