My wife and I still use two famous quotes from old comic strips:

1. The Wizard of Id: "The peasants are revolting!" "They sure are."
2. Hagar the Horrible: "If you're going to feel guilty about having something, have something to feel guilty about!" (after changing his dessert order from a piece of pie to a whole pie)

I still use one regularly I learned in the early 1950s from Snuffy Smith.

I live rural in the mountains of upper NY state on a large lake. A very derogatory term I use to describe many of the summer people (most are city dwellers) that come up here to their camps is "Flatlanders" What a PITA many/most of them are. Do not know how to drive, tie up the roads, do not have a clue about boating regulations and generanly have a rather outspoken liberal/progressive view of things. This does not go over very well in our town of about a 1,000 year around mostly very conservative people.

Here we call them "Bennies" They come to our small town to rent in the summer and forget how to read ("private property"signs etc),drive, act civil towards locals and respect peoples property. The beach is here for them to leave their trash, cause all sorts of noise all night and to take their dogs on it to shit and don't pick it up....in the streets too !Makes you wonder how these people live. That's why we love the day after Labor Day...."Tumbleweed Tuesday" ...it starts "Local Summer"

And yes, we were once "Bennies" but we taught our kids to respect other peoples property and to never disrespect anyone. We were here to have a vacation and not disrupt the place.
