bigger screen, but same overall size, which is good, as we do have some constraints either side. wall mounted on a swivel, so Mrs. DAB can angle towards the kitchen if she's baking and watching something. old one was on a fixed base. fairly easy set up, good to go.
You'll like the LG LED panel. I have a Sony 4K that uses LG panels. No burn in so at all and love it especially movies in 4K.
I have a Panasonic 42 inch plasma that we put almost 50,000 hours on before one of the driver boards died after 15 years. That's when I bought the Sony. Me being me I broke out my multimeter and found the bad board. 10 minutes on eBay and $20 later my plasma works again and it still looks good!

Visio is the most American TV company I know of.

No more vizio for me.
Ditto. Its sitting in my garage waiting for a trip to the dump. Bought a cheap TCL for the living room to replace it (kids cant keep their hands off, so el cheapo until they're teens).

In my bonus room I have the best non QLED TV you could buy in 2018 for video games and sports, a SONY. Much prefer the Google interface to the Roku interface on the TCLs.

Something to keep in mind DAB - Roku likes to get in fights with content providers, and you could end up not being allowed to watch what you want on the TV you paid for. I will NEVER buy a TV with Roku for my bonus room, but I don't care about it the living room since the kids only use video games and youtube anyway and don't watch "TV"

I have a big screen Vizio still hanging on the wall that died last year and a new one still in the box to replace it.

A guy on yt has a channel on how easy they are to repair. Usually, 3 boards inside - one for power, one for display, and another one that I forget. But, he has a link where you can buy individual boards or all 3 for around $65.00. I may try it with mine and hang it in the garage or somewhere vs throwing it out. Most are plug and play boards. Take the back off of the TV and that's all there is to it.

It won't be long now until you can get high speed 5g internet at any residence in the sticks courtesy of the national phone carriers.

When that day comes, my only reason for living on the outskirts of civilization will be gone, and I can become a crazy-eyed mountain man for the rest of my days.

We have an 82" Samsung that has been awesome. I keep seeing them get a little bigger and might have to move this one to the computer room and upgrade soon.

Back when I moved into my house in 2009 I bought 2 DLP Mitsubishi TV’s.
One a 82” for upstairs and a 92” for the basement.

In 12 years the basement unit probably has only about 60 hours of run time .

The upstairs TV has been used often and now has the DLP dots on the screen from the chip wearing out.

As far as I can tell it still has a good picture and will try to get a TV repair guy to replace the chip.

Vizio M and PQ series are amazing. They are the best QLED TVs on the market.

I have a Panasonic plasma that is a 48" I think.

It weighs about 685lbs.

I'll give it to anyone that wants it.
