Don't think this job is 4 days from when the pallets were put down today. There will be a lot more color variance between gray and white than the 2 shown, but using 2 sizes to vary the look. Next paver down under the big one was mostly white.

SO overdue. My driveway has looked like shit for 15 of the 21 years we've lived in this house. I'm so excited we're finally putting significant money into the house. Kitchen remodel is next. We already have the brand new appliances, but new cabinets and countertops.

I make 7x what my wife makes (and she runs her brother's law firm), we have 300k equity in the house, and my C8 loan is the only other loan we have. Credit cards are always paid the day the statement period ends.

P.S. House upgrades have been going on for the past 2 years. New roof, new exterior paint. 30 year old pool cage refurbished to look brand new, new hurricane front door, new garage doors, new flooring in 3 rooms, the list goes pretty deep. Kitchen next, then we are redoing the front landscaping with a water feature, then the other 2 bathrooms. Interior paint is due again, I'll just sub that out.

Things work in parallel around here. My last new car payment for me was my 2008 Z06 (still have it). Wife's had a 2017 and 2020 Subaru Outback, and daughter got that 2015 Subaru BRZ for her 16th b-day. She still has it.

It was definitely my turn for the C8. I was not getting any other car. Considered the Supra as a stop gap till the C8, just not worth it. Oh yeah, my old 1998 Supra Turbo (still with 14k miles) is worth a mint. There are several examples of 1997 Supras with 10-20K more miles for $180k on autotrader.com.

I let the unicorn get away.

January is 30 years I've been with this contractor as my client. Anything that needs fixing, they will fix.

They are like family to the Wiz family. In fact, I'm on generation 3 of their family, and GWiz (gen 2 of Wiz family) is now taking the reigns.

First time I've seen the completed job. The grass along the edges was torn up so they could put down some concrete to hold everything in place, so it needs to grow back. I need to put some more curbing along the entry walkway to keep the rocks in their place, but all in all, very pleased with the work.
