Friend was having really bad time breathing and after the O2 crackhead guy delivered empty tanks at 3am (he returned them as the guy ran for the truck so the guy wouldn't have to carry them) he was so pissed he broke out the booze. Had a large drink(possibly 3 or 12) which he thinks burned most of the shit out of his lungs. The next day he started feeling better. I asked how much he drank and he said alot and it burned, figured if he was gonna feel that bad he'd be drunk.

See that? A potential treatment and they are closing bars.

You might not be old enough to remember the pharmacist mixed stuff that would take chrome off a bumper. Our local guy mix up a potion clear up a cough right quick and you'd sleepfor a day. Probably was brown liquor with cherry flavor cause damn.

I remember growing up, I always took cough medicine with an X on the label and it had codeine in it. Good times, good times.

Funny you say this. I was tired of taking all the crap on my nightstand. Vitamins, day meds, night meds, blah blah blah, and two nights I had hot tea with Brandy (she's fine girl) ...anyway, tea with Brandy and slept like a baby and felt pretty decent afterward. Could just be coincidence.

The brother of a friend of mine got it and headed for his hunting camp to protect his family. Took food and whiskey. Came back in a week feeling fine.

I think we have discovered why my dad is having such a bad time. It appears the covid has his blood sugar completely out of whack. My mom was doing some reading and came across a story regarding this and checked his blood sugar. It was 465. It is now 285 and we are waiting for the doctor to call.

Not funny but someone i know had it attack his pancreas, thought he had cellulitis it was sugar issues. Hopefully it can be reversed or gets back to normal for your pops man.

i had this shit in February into early march. at that time it wasnt widely known or tested. it wasnt until healthcare started requiring tests to work there that i was found positive. while i had it, i was in key west. 103 fever, sore, hacking up a lung to the point i felt as if i were drowning on my own mucus. we hired a chef to cook for us, heard it was fantastic, but couldnt taste a thing. all the classic symptoms. being stubborn, i didnt go to a doc, i medicated with musenex claritan and vodka. it dried me the hell out. i continued this routine for the ten days i was there, when i got home icollapsed in bed from exhaustion, couldnt move for three days, back to drowning. did the tele health thing and they prescribed some powerful cough syrup. it dried me out almost as much as the mucenex, claritan and vodka. i skipped the meds and went back to my routine. in another week i was back to normal.

That's exactly when he got it, almost zero testing then either. His doctor (who he thinks got it from) spent 6 weeks on ventilator.

I know someone that had the rona and their blood sugar was over 500 at one point. He spent a week in the hospital.

My friends' daughters both came down with the Wu flu, they suspect one gave it to the other. HS/college age. Each one had flu like symptoms for several days, then bounced back to normal....BUT.....the younger one woke up days after she felt fine again and had lost her sense of smell. That was a couple of days ago.

Hopefully the loss of smell goes away, but it just shows us this is an insidious virus, just doing random things to people to mess with them.

My sense of smell came back, but it is nothing like it was. I had the nose of a bloodhound. Now everything is faint. I'm hoping that will improve with time.

Holy crap Jeff, I'm glad you posted this.

I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes in 2014. I lost 56 pounds and have not been treated for diabetes since then.

I'm going to start checking my blood sugar more often now. It's normal so far today, but I sure had that hyperglycemia feeling during this illness.

I have seen a coworker when their blood sugar was sky high and you cannot reason with them. They aren’t thinking straight when blood sugar is high or too low. She kept saying I’m fine, it’ll go down after while, I’ll be ok.

The Rona doesn’t just affect blood sugar. Also makes blood hypercoag (prone to clot)

My good friends dad had the Rona and was doing better. Out of nowhere he had Multiple strokes and died 2 days ago. He and his wife were both teachers for decades in our town. It was a devastating loss for many.

Hundreds of these stories and I am so tired of watching people die from this virus.

When people were taking it more serious and social distancing etc, things
Were under control. Now that things are mostly back to normal, it is totally out of control.

But, “it’s just a hoax, it’s just a way to manipulate our freedoms ans make us sheep”. :roll eyes:

I wonder if that's why my friend had a stroke when he had it, he has brain bleeds and it's a clotter at all. Funny this hasn't been mentioned anywhere.

There are actually several studies out showing the increased risk for MI (heart attacks and stroke).

Lots of things we have yet to learn about the short and of course long term consequences if this asshole virus.
