Neither one of those cars were designed for the drag strip. Any guess which car holds the record for the flying lap at VIR ?

Drag racing is also all about gear ratios. I wonder what they are in those two cars? I've always been amused at people who will spend thousands of dollars under the hood to gain a few tenths on the strip when a gear change would produce the same E.T. results.

I didn't even read the article after the first few sentences, but when I see one with all of the aero, it KILLS speed. It's supposed to kill speed. When I drag raced my 2008 Z06 against a NON aero 2016 Z06, I still had it by 1.5 car lengths in a roll from 30-130 at our airstrip.
I'd take aero all day long, but again, I race. |
