4 post is the best for storage. Car sits on its suspension, 4 posts, easy on, easy off, easy door access.
2 post is great for actual repair work. Not so great for body work, as the doors are blocked. Or under dash work, as the doors are blocked. Trans/clutch/brake/engine? Excellent. Disadvantage? Posts get in the way. Can turn 2 car garage into a 1.5 car garage unless plenty wide bays. Can use for storage if you like hanging your car unloaded. (I don't)
Hydraulic in ground or scissors: great for not taking up space and lifting car for service work. Can not use for storage. Great access to entire car for body work, under dash work, etc. Not as good as the two post for under car work.
I bought a Mohawk full-height portable scissors lift 12 years ago and love it. It was expensive, and like the others, a compromise, but you can't tell it's there, and it lifts my cars a full 6 feet+ so I can stand up straight under them and work. For the home hobbiest, the 4 post is the best solution regarding cost, ease of assembly, and not having to pour a stronger base pad. Name: front.jpg

Bend Pak 12000 lift is what I had. It’s built like a tank.

Check the prices of basic repairs on that F430. I know your family Joey, but still. Maintenance on that thing could be the cost of another car. How much is a new clutch? And how long is your place in line to get it done?

All important things. It took me like 12 years to get my zr-1 from c4 fanatic. I need to start putting pressure now on the blue spider. It's a running projt.

Mine is American made and have had it for over 15 years with no issues other the cylinder developed a minor leak a couple of years ago. I pulled it and had a hydraulic shop rebuild it along with making new hoses.

Best purchase I’ve ever made. The ones now have adjustable stops so if you need them 1” higher you don’t have to raise the base plates like I had to do
How high is your ceiling. Looks as if that one would fit in my little one car garage. Thankfully I'm not into Dodge or Chrysler muscle cars as I wouldn't have enough room for those boats.

Most garages are between 8 and 10 ft high, youd need to measure your cars to see if they'd fit. 8ft is tight. There are a variety of lift sizes also.

My choice was a F430 Spyder, Lambo Garado Spyder or the FGT in 2005/2006. I picked the FGT. Lambo dropped sub 100’s, F cars are doing better than Lambos but FGT 3x what I bought as an original owner. Heard F car maintenance for a ~20 yr old crazy $. All miles based

A little over 9’ IIRC, the Mustang is 54” high and the Vette 48”, so even with the runner thickness, I have about 4” to lift it off the stops to bring the Vette down. This is where the newer models with the adjustable stops really helps as you can dial in the heights specific to your car
