To strong of a close for a final interview for a sales job? The guys i interviewed with were very nice and easy going. I think they might appreciate the aggressivness of the closing statement after all it is a sales gig and i have to sell myself. I am one of two final candidates..

I would have said something like"I look forward to working with you guys" During my working life I interviewed hundreds of applicants and that statement would have turned me off.....But...That's just me....A retired old exec living on a fixed income..............

As far as your statement, I would rather see "Mr. XYZ" instead of "Mark" even if he introduced himself as Mark when he met you.

In my experience, they knew whether you got the job within 10 minutes after you left. The email probably won't help or hurt you in any way.

The purpose of the email was to forward over my references. I intended on bringing that info with me but it took me longer than anticipated to track down one individual that switched employers and to get a valid number for him. I was unable to get his number until this afternoon. The final interview was this morning.

As for addressing him hy his first name, I have addressed him formally in the past a couple of times and every time I do he has corrected me.

I like it. Do it. Here's the deal about applying for a job...go balls out, because you already do not have the job. It can only get better.

Every time that I applied for a job, I have been hired. It is true.

For example, when I was 23 years old...I was appointed as a judicial officer / magistrate in a jurisdiction of more than 1 million people because I waited for 6 hours then barged into a judge's office and "told" him that I was the guy for the job and demonstrated the intellect and ability to get sh*t done. In retrospect it was unusual, crude, and weird...but it worked.

I like it too, but I've always gone a bit different in interviews.
I once sat in an interview to be a cop. The chief and 2 captains were interviewing me. There was over 300 applicants for two spots, I was in the final 10.
They asked me "why do you want to be a cop?" I said, " Well, this is where most people are going to tell you that they want to help people. I want to do that to, but I also want to drive fast and carry a gun."

I got the job and the chief told me it was because of that answer. I was the only one that didn't try to tell them what I thought they wanted to hear.
