Flip side, 40 years in the biz, millions of albums sold, millions of devoted fans... and not one Grammy. Nashville didn't have that problem though. My girls know all the words to all of his songs- been going to his concerts since they were knee-high to a toadstool.

jimmy buffet reminds me of those parents who thought the world was their beach party, and that everyone had to get out of the way of them and their margaritas. couldnt stand those folks when i was growing up...

there is a distinct difference between true country and "trashville pop". real country is a reflection of the artist's journeys through the shithole bars and honky tonks. Trashville pop is built in boardrooms and on a couch under a record executive with a bad combover.
