While I'm usually the one dolling out money to various charities and initiatives on this Forum, I'm so blessed to have had John and Lisa step up and pay it forward to me.
Obviously you all know I was hit by a devastating hurricane, and that my chainsaw was dull...hence 10 minutes to cut a single palm. Also as expected, getting replacement chains is near impossible. Lisa and John stepped up and paid it forward and bought, and mailed me two new chains!  There are so many good people in this forum...our little corner of the world. I offered to pay for everything and Lisa declined. Just another example of the great people on VB.  P.S. It took me 10 minutes to cut the tree down in the storm, I was able to make 10 cuts in 5 minutes with a new chain on a downed tree.

Also a special call out to Simpleman68. Scott was able to stop in Winter Park, FL on his way down here and bought me spline to fix the last 2 screens on my pool cage. He also hand delivered them to my wife today at her office.
It makes me misty-eyed when others step up for me, as that is a very rare occasion. Again, a huge thanks to everyone who's helped out in this unprecedented event. |
