Default Computer help

I have an old desktop telling me that my drive is dangerously full. In the old days, I could see the entire architecture and see where all the space is being taken. No it seems I have to go folder by folder and see the properties to get some idea of what is happening. I've check all the usual suspects; Temp folders, pictures, music, documents and nothing is significant enough to prompt this warning.

How can I get a complete list and sort of all files and sizes so I can see what to dump?

Open C drive folder -> view -> show hidden folders

See what's in there. CCleaner also works well.

How old is this desktop, how big is the hard drive, and what OS are you running?

Start with the pron, then look for the DIY electrical videos saved from you tube.

Remember when I had asked about getting a copy of Windows 7? Well it turned out I had this Windows 7 desktop in storage. It was free from the company I used to work for so I'm not even the Admin on it. I'm sure I can change that. What I'd like to do is wipe everything off it except the OS and start new.

If you can get on an admin profile I can show you what needs to be deleted from the C: users folder and in the registry. Pretty simple. I'm assuming that computer was part of a domain, correct?

Do you have an iPhone? The backups are HUGE, I accidentally filled up my laptop HD with iPhone back ups.

you can boot it into safe mode and reinstall from scratch without a boot disk to get a clean install and make yourself admin.

google how to do it.
