my go to salmon recipe:

2 pieces of aluminum foil, one on bottom, one on top.

little olive oil on the bottom foil, place salmon on foil, add some oil to coat salmon, season as you like. you can either leave it plain, or add some things. we've added green beans, or pineapple, or tomatoes (little ones).

400F oven, 20 minutes

place other piece of foil on top, seal all edges.

if still frozen, make it 25-27 minutes.

this might work well with lemon slices, too.

I'm not a big salmon guy, unless it is wild Alaskan. Sounds like you got a deal. I like it cedar planked, but that requires a grill. A lot of folks have put up Asian recipes, which is my second favorite way. Here's one that we like that you can do in your instant pot.

See, I'm paranoid about bad odors because I have no sense of smell.

No lid. Skin left on and I always cook salmon skin side up first. My filets were pretty small... 3/4" thick at most, tapering to much less.

I cook them on medium high heat and flip them skin side down to finish when the thick edge is close to opaque. While it is cooking skin side down it's done when it flakes easily. The skin came off easily but not as easily as when I grill it.

I'm sure there was some fish smell but I don't recall it being bad.

If your fillets are really thick, listen to someone besides me.

Once it's done, the skin will come right off.

Plenty of good recipes shared. Real ( not generic) Bay Seasoning is good too. We do baked in the oven, wrapped in foil.

I don't know of any seafood that doesn't cook good in a microwave. It's basically just steaming from the inside out. Don't see why salmon should be any different.

I let my van idle for at least 30 minutes before i put the salmon strips on the engine bay

Medium... cook time depends on how thick it is. it will turn from ruby red to pink when it's close, probably 3 minutes on each side?

you don't take the skin off, you cook it skin side down first to get it crispy, then on the other side. Eat the skin. I would put salt/pepper on it before cooking it.

Cut a thick piece into cubes, coat with honey, hot sauce, and brown sugar. Then wrap each piece in bacon and put in oven until done.

that recipe isn't specific to salmon or fish, you could wrap a brick in that and it would be acceptable.
