I have a TPIS throttle body. Its an OEM bored out. Never heard anything bad about them.
But, I noticed this one doesnt have an IAC hole drilled through the OEM body. I have another one from 1993, TPIS is a 94, to show the difference. ANy idea why they dont have a hole. Same IAC and housing. 3rd pic is a OEM 1994 LT1 Z28 take off, and it has a drilled hole as well. |

The idle air control is a computer controlled way to bypass the mechanical throttle blade. In a way, it's a choke.
I still have one of those and will have to check it. Cold start idle is the main issue in cold weather. |
