Default Speaking of toilet paper...

I don't want to offend any of our female members since I'm not generalizing. My wife, though, easily goes through a roll of toilet paper in 4 days. If I happen to be close to her bathroom, I can hear the roll spinning on the holder like a like a hamster cage. Every few days she needs a plunger for her toilet.

A roll lasts me 2-3 weeks, including blowing my nose. Are the female members of your household like my wife?

Ha!

Have not bought any in years.

We wash our butt with soap and water around here, and are not happy to just smear it around some with paper..

Think about it...

So who is third world now?

Exactly, if you tripped and your hand landed in dog shit, you wouldn't get a paper towel and wipe it off. You'd feverishly scrub with scalding hot water and as much soap as you can find, yet we're content to just wipe our butts. Doesn't make much sense if you think about it.

I grew up smearing it and then learned a better way.

Frugality has nothing to do with it. We have septic tanks, and I'm not anxious to have to pump them out prematurely.

I've been using baby wipes since my first daughter was born in '03. Aside from the fact that I'm extremely particular with all hygiene issues.

Careful with the baby wipes. I've read where they clog up the lines.

I wouldn't flush 'em in a septic rig. We are on a city feed/outlet with new 4" PVC, really well vented and toilets that can damn near suck a cat off the seat.

I bought an extra plunger for the other bathroom, I got tired of lugging it back and forth to the bathrooms, after the wife was finished.
