D/FW: After the Heat Fall Picnic

We are having a fall Blue Thunder Corvette Club Picnic on Saturday, October 13th. Lets get the Corvettes out to enjoy some cooler weather that will be here in mid October. This hot summer has kept so many people inside and out of their Corvettes so this will be a great time for a nice GTG in much cooler weather.

Time: 10:00am -??
Place: Lockheed Martin Recreational Area (LMRA) - Fort Worth - Pavillion #13
We have picnic Pavillion #13 all day
Alcohol is permitted

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL BARN MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILY/FRIENDS

Pavillion #13 directions: LMRA - Picnic Areas Click on area map to view and locate pavillion #13.

You will have to stop at the security shack just inside the LMRA entrance to pay a $4.00 per person (kids under 6 free) LMRA entry charge.

Each person will receive one (1) ticket. This will be for our door prize drawings.

Below are some of the items needed:

Charcoal - Furnished by Blue Thunder - covered

Hot Dogs - 2 packages- Lady Z

Burger Meat - 30 burgers NikiQ

Brats - 2 - packages - Lady Z

Dog/Brat Buns - 4 packages - itsaz

Burger Buns - 4 packages - itsaz

Potato Salad - Defib1961

Pasta Salad - Defib1961

Beans

Plates/Napkins - Furnished by Blue Thunder - covered

Utensils - Furnished by Blue Thunder - covered

Pickles

Ketchup/Mustard/Relish -

Mayo/Miracle Whip - Torch Red Tim

Onions/Tomatos (sliced) - jda67gta

Chopped Onions for hot dogs - jda67gta

Lettuce (cut up for the burgers) Torch Red Tim

Please post how many of an item you are bringing. EX: Lady Z is bringing (2) packages of Hot dogs. This way others can bring them too.
If an item is marked as "covered" no more are needed.

These are just suggested items, if you have something else you want to bring let put in your post. Try to keep your item to simple picnic items.

If you are bringing a covered dish, be sure and bring a serving utensil.

BYOB - we will not be providing drinks, so you must bring your own.
Bring Ice chest for your drinks, chairs to sit in (there are lots of park benches though), and some $$$ if you want to participate in our 50/50 drawing!

If you are bringing a cold food - please keep it chilled until we are ready to serve.

We ask that everyone attending please contribute by bringing an item from the list. We will make sure we are not overloaded with certain items. So if you see an item is marked covered please do not sign up to bring it.

Remember when you RSVP, please let us know how many in your party are attending and what you want to bring. We will be marking the items we no longer need. Please note the # of people coming, so base what you are bringing on/around that number.

SIDE NOTES:

This is a park so there will be children, people on bikes, joggers, and dogs on leashes, etc, so please be mindful of them when going through the park.

Please keep this thread to those attending and what you are bringing. We want to make sure we do not miss anyone when they RSVP or post what they are bringing.
