Default Been Putting This Off Way Too Long

All set to go to a big American Legion car show (third largest AL post anywhere), so after a 3 week drought, that ended today, much needed rain.

Z06 is spit polished, C3 you can eat off of, the Tahoe detailed, so I'm looking at the honey's SUV.........hummm, haven't done anything to that in a good while.

So what the heck, let's buff 'er out. I use the lazy man's way, a mild cut polish (Menzerna 4000, no dust up), 3" Griots buffer (light weight), and a few microfiber rags. This is slow work for me, like to drag it out, will give me something to do tomorrow as well, predicting rainy weather.

I do about a 16" square area, buff, wipe off, hit it with detail (Wash/Wax), done. Move on to the next spot.

With some comparison shots, took an 8X magnitude shot of the finish, about 4" away, before and after, had some crud built up on it. This Menzerna stuff is pretty good, took it all out.

I use 3M products and Meguiar's. I have a 6" Porter Cable with foam pads.

I've often wondered if 3M is the supplier to all these companies and they just relabel/bottle the stuff with their names?

You can just get a bag of gummies and rub them on your car....

Did you clay it before using the orbital? Looks like a lot of the crud could have been handled with a good clay bar.

Looks great Norm. Now that you have all five of them done you’ll have to fine something else to do on rainy days.

No clay bar, too messy and I'm lazy, too much work. Buffer did a fine job, besides it's the honey's long distance runner between sisters (3), like twice a week visiting them all, can't keep it clean.
