I'm not even sure what I think about the whole thing. The panorama stitch I understand and has been done for many years. But the 'Generative Fill' thing? Jury is still out for me.

Most of my subject matter really doesn't lend itself to that particular thing anyway. It's rare I need MORE scene shooting birds.

Jury is out for me too. I'm amazed at how effective it is but would never publish a photo using it without disclosing it. I've shared this photo with a few friends privately because the results I got with beta software were IMO so good. It looks a little over sharpened, but so was my original. I do know if I was a graphic artist I'd be looking for another career.

I honestly never understood surf shore fishing, never seen large fish when out swimming in the castable range. They get anything good?

I was into it big for a while. Had a sand cart to haul gear and a couple of 10’ & 11’ rods. “Chicken rig” and “Carolina rig” both work well.
Around here we use a sand rake to scoop up “sand fleas” (small crustaceans) for bait. Shrimp also works great. Big pyramid sinkers to hold the rig in place.

The key is getting your cast way out there. I even wadded out as far as I could and still cast. Some guys are now taking it to the next level and casting from a kayak and after setting the line, bringing the rod back to the beach.

I’ve caught large redfish and whiting both excellent eating. Also sharks and snook and Spanish mackerel. And big jacks.

Great time.
