Default Ds1c/347 771 rwhp

A little background on my setup, Nov 05 was when my forged 347 was first on the rollers, made 696RWHP and this was with a 6 rib first generation A&A setup, 16k and the latest A&A bracket upgraded to 8 rib and from 3.85 pulley to 3.55 pulley. Upon going to the new bracket and smaller pulley we had some fuel issues to solve. My goal was to be ready for the Texas Mile in Oct, this did not happen.

Fuel pressue was dropping at 6200, so we changed the stock regulator to an aftermarket one and no change. Next we decided to fab up a 420 pump in the bucket and this did not work, so I was done until after the Texas Mile. We ordered two Walboro pumps and Arnold (Gotjuice? my mechanic) fabbed this up in the bucket, damn he is good did this in an afternoon. Back on the dyno plenty of fuel pressure, but now the 60# injectors were maxed out. So Corey Henderson my tuner ordered 80# injectors to see if this would cure my issue.

Back to the dyno on Dec 11th to install the new injectors and to see if we would have the sucess I was looking for, once the injectors were installed Corey did driveability on the dyno as it was raining so we did not want to go into traffic, once this was done we had the fuel we needed and with 16 degrees of timing Corey was able to squeak out a mere 771 RWHP, needless to say I am a very happy person to have his boosted Vette fully fueled and ready for the upcoming Texas Mile in March 2010.

For my build I need to give thanks to my wallet, wife (who wanted me to stop this crazy crap), to Arnold who does all the work on my Vette and it does purr now, and to Corey for his tuning

The dyno chart and a few vids on Dec 11, and this evening turned out to be an early Bday present as the next day I really got some dry road and to the top of 4th, oh this baby is really Sick now

See the water on my radiator cover, this is from the rain on the drive over to Corey's

A few vids of my journery to 771 RWHP, I hope you enjoy as I do not take great vids with my Point and Shoot Camera

I will need to borrow one, to get a vid, I do want one as I have been a legal 180mph 2 years ago with belt slip, now with an 8 rib, 20#lbs of boost, I should go a tad faster and then plan this time is for C6Z rears sized hoosiers so I can get more traction and taller gearing for more MPH out of all the gears

Thanks and no hiccups in the chart at all 16 degrees of timing means I am not at a max, 100% race gas will be used for the mile
