Question LED Lights Color Temperature

Any of you have a bunch of LED recessed lights in your home? If so, what color temperature do you have? 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K? Which is best?

I used to have a skylight in the LR, but when roof was replaced some 2 years ago, I covered it over outside, so inside I have a timer on a 4' LED light, first one was cheep enough, so bought about 6 of them, one in the ceiling above the diffuser panel and a piece of silver surface insulation above it.....and so wooden I know about 4 outta the six went out not so long ago, and so I upped the price paid a bit and got 3 more and did not use one in the storage shed....

as to color, it's bright white, but I can't put a number on it.....

Depends on what you want.. The higher the number closer to sunlight.
I went woth 4700 and 5k I believe.
Same with all the led lights in my barn, 5k.
I do have a multi color range led light bed side as nobody wants the sun first thing i the morning. Something to consider...
Also dimmable are awesome.

2700°K, 90+ CRI. That's as close as I've found to incandescent bulbs. I've had the best luck with Philips. Cree has been pretty good too, except their 3-way A19 bulbs.

5k+ gives me headaches after prolonged exposure.

2700K because it’s as close to incandescent as I could find. Same as above. Bright white light like fluorescent bulbs produce give me stress and aggravation. Incandescent is much easier to tolerate.

When our house was being built we told the contractor we wanted recessed lighting throughout the house. He suggested these. They have 5 settings from 2700K to 5000K. We set them all at 3500K. I liked that we could choose the setting that best suited us. They are dimmable, but we didn't put in any dimmer switches. Fairly inexpensive units, too.

Interesting as it's just the opposite for me. Yellowish lighting if trying to do anything drives me nuts. Fine for low lighting during the night however.
I like those adjustable units...

Depends on whether you are in vegetative mode or flowering mode.

Probably a dozen houses in my subdivision have that kind of lighting in the cornices of their houses. It's a neat effect at night, I guess they can control the color and intensity of them, too.

I just went through this this weekend. The house we bought theres a ton of recessed LED downlights all at 5000k, which is way too blue, my wife wanted 2700k, so i bought the bulbs and got to work, only to realize the existing leds have a switch and you can select the color.

Long story short she decided against the 2700k and settled on 3500k

I buy my incandescent lights in bulk. Usually from Grainger, but lightbulbs.com have them as well. I buy 100w and 60w regular bulbs and PAR30L halogens.

My City house had a huge variety of fixtures, all different types of incandescent bulbs that required replacing often. As a result I had a small warehouse full of bulbs. All heating up the house and adding to my cooling bill.

I replaced the most used with LEDs long before the bulbs were available everywhere and cheap like they are now. Many of those are still working, so they have saved me a boatload in electricity.

Regarding color

I prefer 3500, 2700 is too yellow and 5000 is too white. My garage is 5000 but inside the hose we have mostly 3500 and a few 3000

How do you get the lights inside your hose?
