He went in walking and came out using a cane and he's getting worse, he almost needs a walker now. The DRs aren't helping him at all. One did recommend something like what you've stated above. He's about given up hope of ever walking normally again.

I will have to be in a wheelchair before having back surgery. One of my good friends is a neurosurgeon, and he did my neck surgery when I got hit by the semi in 2003. He told me to never have lumbar surgery.

Sine this thing started, I have avoided watching much news at all. I try to stay unbiased but would say what you highlighted above seems to be true.

Although I am "conservative" I don't bitch about wearing a mask. I just don't look at it as a political issue. If it protects others, or my close family or myself.... great.

So, at my remaining investment property, the two moron tenants (2 apartments, they don't live together) have complained constantly about the fire detection system "sounding an alarm on all three levels". After several visits from me finding nothing wrong, but changing smoke/CO detectors, changing batteries etc. to try to make them happy, the last time it happened, I told both tenants:

I have been over the system at least a half dozen times, and there is nothing wrong with it. If more than one detector in the building is sounding an alarm, that means it detects either smoke or CO, and the right thing to do is leave the building, and call the fire department.

Tonight I got an emergency call that Westfield (the town where the property is) FD had responded to my property. I rolled up about 5 minutes later, and let Westfield's bravest into every level of the building. My upstairs tenant had called them, and was outside in quite a state of panic, immediately telling me of the terrible things that had occurred.

After a 10-15 minute inspection by WFD, they informed my tenant that she needed to change the battery in her smoke/CO detector, and all would be well, She, of course, had the "deer in headlights" look and babbled that she had no idea what they were talking about, more or less in hysterics.

I calmly walked back to my truck, produced a brand new 9V battery, and handed it to the heroes of the WFD. A big strong firefighter went to her apartment, and changed the battery for her, and all was well.

I have nothing but the highest respect for the brave heroes of the WFD, and can only thank God that they were there to respond so quickly, professionally, and effectively to what would surely have escalated into a major crisis without their decisive actions.

The ****ing joys of being a landlord.
