I've had dogs with seizure issues from a young age and older dogs needing extensive medical procedures, spending a few grand on an old dog is a quandary. If it was a broken leg sure but a pancreas problem or cancer is another issue.
Never an easy decision but I've had to let a couple old dogs go due to financial considerations. Never want a doggo to be in pain regardless of their age... |

BTDT cost over 2 k when the prognosis was 3 to 6 months more. She lived about 2 years. Was worth the pain financially.
