I wonder about you sometimes, Flexy.
The SO and I shop together each Saturday or Sunday, as it's the only time we have together to get household chores done. Wife is a full-time caretaker for her 92 y/o Mother, I still work weekly. We also buy supplies for the old bag too - she's still in her own home, unable of doing most anything for herself (cooking, cleaning, etc) Anyway, when we shop, we like to use the self check-outs and bag our own groceries. It just eliminates one to two more sets of hands touching your purchased items. The SO wipes down all purchased items with disinfection wipes once we get home. With the old bag quite susceptible/high risk to the Whuhan, we need to take extra care to eliminates the chances of catching the AsianFlu. BTW, I had a Covid-19 test(required by Dr.) last Saturday morning because of surgery scheduled for Monday. Test results came back negative Saturday night. |

I'm confused. Why? Quote:
For many years we've been getting our groceries delivered. All non-perishables and staple items. Once a month or so I stop by Maple Lodge farms (about a mile from my office) and grab 10kg of frozen chicken breasts (I'm in and out in 2 minutes) and once every 6-8 weeks we'll suck it up and brave the massive crowds at Costco and fill up a cart with meat. Then when we get home she'll package everything in labelled freezer bags and update the white board she keeps on the fridge. She plans out all meals and always knows exactly what is in the freezer. So we went from about 2 hours of hell every Saturday to maybe 30 minutes of hell once every 6 to 8 weeks. EDIT: Have not been to Costco since Covid, because the lines are nuts. |
