Don't even get me started! I just paid $900 out of pocket for an eye exam that was fully covered by my insurance before Obamacare.

My eye exams are covered 100% minus co-pay ($30?) every two years. It's just that the only eye Dr around here that accepts that insurance is booked for a year+.

Like I said, they used to cover it with no co-pay or anything because I am diabetic, so it is "preventative". I'm pretty well convinced that this particular case is a screw up on someone's part. First of all, it has never cost anywhere near that amount of money, but they did do some funky stuff they had never done before. I was just there 2 years before, and I could swear I didn't have to pay the whole thing. I tried unraveling it for a while, before passing it off to the wife. After she made several calls, she told me to just pay it, but I do think it's ****ed up.
