I had the honor today to attend Marine Corps basic training graduation at Parris Island SC for a friend of my eldest son, who is almost like one of my own kids. Well done Owen! I am super proud of him!

Damn, just missed you again. Drove right up 17 through PI Tuesday about noon time.
Stopped over at my brothers in Charleston an hour later and spent the night.

We left WR at 5 this morning, and just got back. But then again, we stopped to eat in Metter Ga, and picked my youngest up from school. It was the first time I had ever been to the island. It sucked being that close to Charleston and not having a big ass BBQ sammich and an onion ring at Melvin's!

That Melvins (by James Isle) is about 1 mile from my brother's house. Some goooood bbq.
