THANKS button affecting post count

Currently, every time you either make an actual post OR hit the thanks button, your post count goes up.

In other words, they both add to your post count.

Should we change it?

Several ways to vote:

1) Remove all THANKS button hits from everyone's post counts. Everyone's post counts will go down when the adjustment is made, but the post count will show only the actual number of real posts.

2) Stop all future THANKS button hits from adding to post counts. Everyone's current post counts stays the same, but from now on hitting the THANKS button won't affect post count.

3) I was told there would be no math.

I think regardless of any changes, we should leave the other info in everyone's avatar block regarding how many times we've been thanked for our own posts.

I personally just advocate making the post count only show actual posts, not any THANKS button hits at all... past, present or future.

I can only think of 3 people that have had celebratory post count threads in the past two years. You were one of them. It's safe enough to assume the majority of us don't give a shit about them.

I say keep on counting thanks in post counts. It's like being rewarded for doing good. That is something that should be encouraged.
