I should have known better.....
So yesterday, my wife and I are out running some errands and stop to have some lunch and shop for a while. There's an upscale car wash in the complex so I drop the Vette off for a hand wash. I told the attendant, do not run it through the car wash, I want it hand washed which is one of the services they do.
Came back to get to a couple hours later and you guessed it, they put it through the car wash and scratched the crap out of the nose; There's a matching pair on the other side as well and you can see the one over the license plate. Spoke to the Assistant Manager and he said they we're not liable because the car wash is "enter at your own risk" at which point I showed him the receipt for the hand wash. He asked the attendant who admits they put it through the car wash, probably being lazy. The Assistant Manager told me that nose had some rock chips on it anyways, so a few scratches shouldn't bother me and they would not be liable to make it better than it was when it went in. He then said I would have to take it up with the manager tomorrow, which I will. If you don't hear from me for a while, keep an eye on the papers. I hope the posse will post my bail. |

...and on a side note, a more appropriate response from the Ass. Man. would have been that you shouldn't worry because it's just a C5.

Jon, dodnt feel bad.
Last week in the Sequioa Nat. Park, the sun was hemmering the car and I started to wipe the hood with a microfiber. It is full of circular scratches. We were also told about marriage and we have been married at least once. (...not me)...(yeah you) |

Damn Jon.....
Did you get the name of the douchebag that ran it through the auto wash when the ticket SPECIFICALLY said hand wash? He will deny it later, but I'd say you have a case. Granted, they don't owe it back to you better, but they DO owe it back in the same condition, which it isn't. And the only way to put it back like it was is to repaint the nose.....which they now owe. See what the mgr says.....then the posse can ride in. I've got some ideas if it doesn't work out....all legal and free. A lot of damage can be done to a business that doesn't want to play ball.... |

Mofo's at the carwash don't listen. If you ride their ass and stand next to them, they think you are a dick. if you let it ride and hope they do what you want, they don't.
I swear to god the next time I go and the dipwads there use brushes to pre-wash the car, I'm not going to pay...I mean I tell the guy everytime to mark the window with a grease pen that says "no brushes" in espanol, but they don't about a third of the time. |

That is just wrong. There are too many people who want to get paid and not do the work. But then what should anyone expect? Our current government is breeding this ethic.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I drove Marco to work today....and lost the damn keys. Spent an hour looking everywhere....I think they're in a check in that's already been rented back out. I caught a ride back from the airport with one of my drivers to my office....haven't seen them since. Had to get a ride home and grab my spares.
I'm down to my last set too. I had three sets....one VATS key went on strike, one set lost.....guess I better get another set cut tomorrow! |

Tell them all they need to have spray painted and repaired are the scratches they put on the bumper..Lets see if they can find a body shop to do that..All the shops I know of will only do whole sections. These new paints can't be blended like you could with lacquer years ago .....WW

I would have asked the guy "What do you drive?". When he said "A blue Hawwwnda with Nawwwws" (which would have been the response).....I would have said...."that one over there?". And when the dimwit nodded, I'd have taken my pocket knife and put a large gouge in the front bumper and asked him...."How do YOU like it"? At which point he would have probably beat my wrinkled old ass and called the cops. |

Well, it looks like there will be no bloodshed. The manager looked at the video, saw my car go into the car wash and saw one of the swinging spray arms get hung up on the nose. They will pay to have the nose repainted, rock chips and all.
All's well that ends well........ for now. |

It's nice to see a problem wind up being solved like this without having some fuktard with a manager-hat adding insult to injury by trying to weasel out of his obligation to do the right thing and make his customer feel valued....
(and no fuktard got his head slammed repeatedly by being door-slammed by said customer.) |

Glad it worked out. You just saved me from coming out there and taking an ass beating from the DB with the Hawwwnnda.
