On a side note ... the Japan seismic movement knocked the earth off tilt by a fraction and wasted time clocks by 1.8 seconds ... this is important in that as the ISS must remian in low orbit, within the earth's magnetic field, where it is safe from the Suns' radiation ... well, it may cost a billion bucks or two to re-orbit ... lots of irony in this one ...

Since we are talking about the INTERNATIONAL Space Station, I fail to see what military objectives/advantages are going to be had by paying Russia to send up our astronauts.

This is yet another thing we do not have the money to do. I love NASA and live in the Houston area, but damn, I don't want to go into even more debt to pay for this.

Answer: quit paying for rides to get to the Space Station, at least as long as we are deficit spending. We can't afford it.
