I am just about ready.... new front tires for the C5, check...oil changed, rear diff fluid changed, K&N cleaned and oiled, check....exhaust tips polished, check... new Nikon D5100, check. One last coat of Zaino this weekend and pack clean undies and I am ready. Any one else from FL heading up?

I suppose I should schedule a washing early next week for Scarlet! Otherwise, I think she's good to go, since I just took her to Houston a couple of weeks ago.

Need to make sure my card is clear on my camera, and all the batteries charged!

monday's story:

was getting a tank of water monday, and the self serve place is right next to the sheriff's office and the county jail. but those places are about 100 yard walk to where my truck was. i'm standing in the back, making sure the fire hose stays in the tank as it fills up, and i see an older black man walking toward me. he has a bottle of water in one hand, and a plastic grocery bag in the other, and i can make out a Clive Cussler book thru the plastic.

ok, he appears harmless, and if not, i'm pretty sure i can take him. well, he would like a lift, if i'm going in the right direction. where to? the mall. ok, i pass right by it (well, it's a 1 mile detour) on the way back home. get in and buckle up.

drive for a bit, let him out at the proper intersection, and he's on his way to find a bus going somewhere.

tell him to keep his $$, i'm fine on gas.

he didn't say why he was at the jail/sheriff's office complex, and i didn't ask.

that's my monday adventure.
