Yes, but it did not change anything over there. Same old mods, and crap. While we may have made a point at the time we did not like how they did things with Liz. It did not matter in the end, and most went back after a while. Even Liz. Some did not go back The thing is they are by far the larger site, and have the bulk of the traffic.

That's the way it goes.

Years ago I was a regular poster in the "Over 35" section of bodybuilding.com. The site was over-moderated to death by a clique of mods and everyone complained about it. I started my own forum and a lot of the regular posters joined and it was good for a while but eventually most of them went back to the site they supposedly hated. I guess the drama they claimed was BS was in reality more fun than actual on-topic stuff.

I ended up perma-banned because once they saw I had my own reasonably successful forum I had a big target on me.

CF kinda reminds me a bit of that forum; mods messing with people just because they can...then deleting posts, closing threads and handing out infractions if you speak out or dare to challenge them.

exactly. will not change anything until they move on. Many here are still perma from there. BS really that they cannot be adult about this crap, but it is what it is.

Never banned a regular poster, never played childish games like changing signatures or thread titles. Never deleted threads/posts or handed out infractions unless blatant trolling. I keep the board free of spam and let the people post whatever they want as long as it's within the rules.

Some mods let their fake status go to their heads and become e-bullies. 90% of the moderation team on bodybuilding.com is like that. I guess they have a pathetic real life existence.

I second everything you said. I also think the single most consistent factor with forum BS is some quite simply take an Internet forum AND THEMSELVES WAY TO FING SERIOUS. If your not happy in your job/life/family etc and find your existence is justified/defined in an Internet forum chances, those people will take things way to personally.

We often joke about thinned skinned people here, but people with known psychological issues probably need to step away from the keyboard when it’s obvious they are getting way to wrapped up in an online interaction.

Our interactions here are a destress mechanism for me and I spend most of my time laughing. I also enjoy a good debate. There are those of you that I have met and do consider many of you friends and care about you and yours.

Hoping we can continue the fun and all the other BS can fade away.

I joined right after the site started up. Gary sent me a note and said check it out. Went to the other place a little bit and got a ban for mentioning Liz. Went back and got another 30 day ban over some BS and haven't been back since. Got rid of the last Vette so didn't need a lot of information from there.
