Cool made a little brass piece for my Olds engine ignition

I was using a 100 year old "buzz coil" on Olds engine to provide spark to run it. I tried a small motorcycle battery and then later, a gel battery to provide power to the buzz coil. Towards the end of the day, the engine would shut off due to a drained battery. One of the guys on another forum, makes an electronic buzz coil that provides a strong spark and low drain on the battery.

or corrode like a conventional coil. My coils can
be triggered by the tip of a needle.
Here's Nick's electronic buzz coil

I purchased one of his coils and decided to make an adapter for the 1/4" spade connector. My spark plug wire has a "snap on" type spark plug connector on each end and I really didn't want to cut that off.

I purchased a few brass flat head screws that were 1" long and #10-32 thread. I also got brass nuts to hold the connector in place.

1st pic
I made a fixture to hold the screw. 1/2" round brass , drilled and tapped #10-32 and then used a nut to hold the screw in place with 3/8" stick out.

PRO TIP-- take really small cuts or the freaking screw will bend

I turned the main diameter down to .130 ( just over 1/8" ) to fit into the crimp connector.

2nd pic
Shows the clamp on wire spark plug connectors with the double nutted screws with both the screw and the finished screw.

3rd pic
The finished connector in the electronic buzz coil.
