Default A Very Rarely Seen and Special Airplane, Enjoy these Pictures...
I had the opportunity to actually see this legendary airplane up close and personal today. It is something that is very seldom seen, and I am happy to show you these pictures.

Clay Lacy is a legend in the Aviation world, and while I have worked at Van Nuys Airport for almost 20 years, this is only the second or third time I have seen this airplane in person. The first two times were from a distance, I actually got to walk up to it today! I'm sure that somebody that works for Clay Lacy Aviation gets to see this thing on a regular basis, but it for the rest of us, it's not a common occurrence.

Kind of a dream come true for me. Every single time I take off, EVERY DAY, I have looked toward Clay Lacy's hangars hoping to catch a glimpse of this airplane. I actually got to see it today! I walked up to it! I saw all of the grease and rivets...My life is complete.

I think it's great that as adults, we can still find things that bring us joy...kind of like being a kid again. For me it was meeting both Adam West and Steven Tyler.

Aircraft looks like a P-51 Mustang. I like the fact the gentleman has an impressive resume with only a high school education. NOTE: I had to google him.

Sometimes one must do what they think is right regardless of what "the leaders" tell you to do.

I'd bet a dollar that was written by someone with union ties
