My Mid Ohio adventure...

Finally got to check something off of my bucket list and drove my car at Mid Ohio. The first road race I ever saw in person was the Corvette Challenge series in 1988. If you look close, some of the empty space on my car is filled with the "mandatory" sponsors from that series (Truesports, Bosch, Sony, etc...) Thought I would share the adventures of my friend (in the yellow Z06) and I. We didn't enter TT. Just stuck with PDX so we could cruise around and have a good time.

The trip started out nice. We caught the tail end of Indy Car practice.

Then... mother nature got angry. At the worst possible time, the braking zone of the back stretch, she let loose a downpour with ZERO warning.

It did not end well for us.

The car ran like a champ and didn't have a single issue except for the oil pressure gauge that always seems to quit. I am on the 3rd sending unit and second gauge. I have no idea what is causing them to fail. I still have the dummy light and I made sure it was still working so it is not a big deal at all. If that is the only thing to worry about... it is a GOOD time.

That is a seriously fun car.

That's a cool video but really sucks about the rain. That looks like a blast I'm envious. Actually I'm envious of anyone getting to drive their car but this makes it look sooo much more fun. Thanks for sharing.

Had a blast. Now I need to get back to Mid Ohio with a more friendly Mother Nature and go see what the C4 can actually do.

The C5 came out without a scratch.

The only damage for us all weekend was a scratch on the door of the C5 when the 50 mph wind blew one of our canopies over and hit the side.

Thanks for the compliments guys. When I get a few minutes I'll try to put up a few more videos. Went straight from Mid Ohio to the Brickyard to Louisville to work early in the a.m. tomorrow. BUSY weekend of racing!!!

Yeah I already have tickets for some races but British GP and LeMans next year are definates for me!

I'm driving a BMW 520d 6 speed deisel company car, not bad as I learn the roads but looking to pick up a small two seater of some kind to play with.
