It's 96 degrees, and I just had chili...
2 pounds of ground meat browned with onions, a can of diced tomatoes and kidney beans, chili mix, an unknown but large amount of cayenne pepper, served with sliced jalapenos on top. With a cold beer. I sweated, my nose ran, my tongue is likely charred, and I had to roll the beer across my forehead to try to cool down.
Am I sorry I did it? Nope! What has my stomach ever done for me? It's what I wanted for dinner, and I'm now stuffed. I'll worry about what happens tomorrow. On the toilet. Or the floor. Or the bed. |

Char the skin on the peppers before you use them. It adds a bit of smoke, and just a hint of sweet to the burn. Yum.
