Default Wix Filters

Time for oil changes. Surprisingly, Home Depot, has Wix oil filters for around
$5.00 each! I prefer Wix (Baldwin is the BEST) but difficult to come by without ordering a case. This same Wix filter at O'Reilly's is $10.00 each.

I'm not sure if it is limited time sale or what with these. I ordered (4) with free home delivery to boot.

Check for you model number here. Type in Wix and the model number on the Home Depot website.

My only concern is if the HD Wix is the same as the auto store Wix. I know tires have lines specifically for Sam's/Costco.

As an OE (dealer) supplier I hear more horror stories about Baldwin filters failing early than any other aftermarket supplier. Wix scores well but original equipment (in the construction and forestry industries at least) are demonstrably superior and not a heck of a lot more costly especially when downtime is considered.
As ever, YMMV, there are exceptions to every rule, etc.

I just always heard that on a $15k or so engine they use Baldwin vs any other brand. Some guys years ago did test, etc...on Baldwin vs others and they came out superior to all others at the time. Of course, maybe just keeping changed more often would also work.

Have had many tires from costco and always got at least 90K from them so if they are different....no problem here

My local parts store carries Wix. Been using them for years with no issues.

Wonder what kind of filter this person liked? Holy shit! I've heard AFM will turn off a couple of cylinders but making them completely disappear is news to me.
