Default Used Vehicles Prices
Keep hearing about prices for used vehicles going up substantially because of the supply chain quagmire. I looked up my 2018 Ram and was offered almost $37,000.00. Thinking about doing it and searching for an older classic truck with a manual trans.

Wondering if they still have room to go higher though and maybe waiting a little longer or if anyone else is considering doing likewise? What do you all think?

I’ve owned a bunch. Looking on classic auto trader shows late sixties to early seventies two wheel drive being priced fairly decent, (Compared to fifties and late model).

Just getting started so still early. I suspect I can find someone needing cash ASAP and I need 4wd for the winters but worst case the wife has a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and she will have to tote me around during rain and winter months. Not going to drive my Camaro in that stuff.

I made a post a few months ago about my '08 and '09 Z06's. Back then I said that after 5 years, my '09 was still worth $40k all day long, which is what I paid for. Now it appears on Autotrader that that price has jumped by about $10k. SO MANY listings near $50k.

I buy and sell a few cars every year. I can tell you used cars prices are ridiculous now. Especially trucks. I've been offered twice what I paid for my old Dodge truck last year several times. Everything has over 200k and still asking $2500 or better. Twenty year old trucks with 250k are bringing 3500/4500 or more all day. And diesels are even higher. Saw an 06 Ram Quad cab, 4wd, lifted with 160k priced at $23k today. Friend sold an '03 F350 Crew Cab, long bed 7.3 four wheel drive with 320k for $6500.
