Just an update. My dad is still in the hospital. He has been since April 17th and has at least two more weeks. The first round of chemo is over but he hasn't been doing real well until today. They have had to give him several units of blood and platelets over the last three weeks but the doctor said the latest round of test show that his body is now making platelets. He has been fighting off infections left and right though. they had to move his pick line twice because of infections. All of his hair is falling out and he is fighting depression but maybe this good report will lift his spirits. He still has a long way to go because this routine will last several months at least. Thanks.

Really sorry to hear that and I'm sorry I did not express my sympathy sooner. I was out of the country when you posted the original thread. Keep your head up and hope for the best.

Some may have noticed I haven't been around in months because I have been trying to run the business. My dad lost his battle on Friday and he is missed very much. Thank you to all of your prayers and thoughts and well wishes. He is no longer hurting.

Grandchildren include Stan (Rachael), Neil, and Preston Woods of Grenada, Mississippi; Reagan (Cory) Grigsby, and Dillon Perry of Benton, Arkansas; Courtney and Hunter Edge of Sherwood, Arkansas; and Hayden and Heath Richardson of Lithia, Florida. He is also survived by great-grandchildren McKayla Bailey, Kamden Andrus, and Brantley Woods of Grenada, Mississippi; in addition to extended family and friends.
Jerry was a floor covering contractor and owner of JGP Inc., Little Rock, Arkansas. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas; and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, at National Funeral Home, 2113 Commerce Street, Grenada, Mississippi. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, at Bethel Cemetery, Carroll County, Mississippi.
