Hang in there TM.
Look at all of the options and go with one that seems right for you. After 60+ years in this body, I can pretty much self-diagnose and come up with a treatment for 90% of my ailments. Bone stuff is another matter. I always say that doc's don't get to touch my eyes until I'm blind, and don't get to touch my back until I can't walk. Having said that, they are doing some pretty cool stuff with spines these days. No more welding a couple vertebrae together and calling it a day. I am sold on a good PT. They can point out things that you are not aware of, and can make a difference. Wishing you the best |

Thank you all for the kind words. FTF hit the nail on the head for me,
Together since we were 17, both 69 as of her passing, would've turned 70 on Dec. 2nd. On our first date, I knew she was one I wanted to spend my life with. I don't know what to do right now, but I'm glad to have 2 of our 3 children close by. My daughter and her family are at my house daily. Still hard to talk about it to most of my relatives, but thankful for every ones concerns for me. DAB sent me a nice PM with an offer to talk if needed, I just can't control my emotions yet Doug. I recall reading of his beloved Linda, and crying as I did. I wanted to reply to so many of his postings, but I just couldn't. I also received messages from other members making the same offers, but again, my emotions are kind of uncontrolled for now, and realize I appreciate your offers. |

Mike, I am praying that the time that you can take a deep breath and realize you are now kind of controlling your emotions will come soon. So that YOU feel better. Not over it but better. It will come. God bless you.

Updated with the following poem/prayer
I looked for the poem/prayer below to have turned into a prayer card for Marianne's services, but I couldn't find where she kept it until today.
I was cleaning up the computer desk area, and in with the box of photo papers, I found it. This was a prayer she always sent to people she new that had lost a loved one. It has bothered until this day that I couldn't find it. Knowing now what the title is, I immediately found it on her laptop. NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER I give you this one thought to keep---- I am with you still----I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone---- I am with you still----in each new dawn. |

Not a wife, but lost a brother this time last year. He was the closest to me in age in our family and my first best friend. He was the best man at my wedding less than two weeks before leaving us. After having him always there for fifty eight years it's been rough. I think of him every day.
I am truly sorry for your loss, sir. My thoughts are with you. |
