I used to live in a post WWII cookie cutter house neighborfood (a la Levittown style), Halloween was one big pain in the ass.

Now I live in a rural farming area, 50 mph road front, no shoulders, no sidewalks, no kids.............

Check online and stores now. The are slowly trickling out the last of the inventory at 60% off. You may be able to score one on sale to put up next year.

We still have 100 bags or so of candy. I guess, we are tailgating again tonight until the candy is gone.

I have mixed feelings about the Trunk or Treat idea. Yes, it was great to see the kids in their costumes. Yes, it was great to sit outside in the sunlight and not have to sit outside in the dark (4 huskies; having hundreds of kids coming to door would be insane lol). However, it wasn't on Halloween.

It was fun and promoted goodwill in the community where we will be. parking the ice cream truck this Spring

I have 2400 jolly ranchers, 400 blow pops, 400 tootsie pops, and 100 jolly rancher lolly pops (I like these)

I expect 300-500 kids tonight


Oh, and smoked 15# of wings to hand out to the parents

We had 3684 pieces of candy each bag had at least 6 in them. Towards the end ob bagging them, some got a few more to end the bagging process LOL
