I rarely get upset with the folks on the broadcast, but Rick Allen is an absolute moron. After many comments that seemed to come out of nowhere, and having no basis in reality, his last beauty was this after Erik Jones was spun in O/T and coming out of the pits...

"Not a lot of damage to that car. Potentially could be, competitive"

Letarte and Petty reminded him of the lateness of the race and he did not respond.

Earlier in the race he told Gaughn's story about playing bball at Georgetown, among his other TV gems.

Oh, and NBC, you have some sprinter providing something? WTF?

Here's the deal. I can usually take or leave a NASCAR cup race. I know many people in the sport and enjoy seeing how they are doing. If I tune in, it's usually as a back drop, so the commentary is not usually noticed. However, in this case, NBC has quite possibly provided the worst commentary I have ever seen at a cup level event.

To Steve, Kyle and others: It's too bad that NBC has now turned this into a weekly version of how they f***ed up the Olympics. Run away.
