Yet another ruling confirming the rule of law and not favoring one giant company.

A federal judge dismissed Disney’s lawsuit against Florida over the state’s revocation of the special district that had allowed Disney to self-govern.

Cliffs: For decades Disney ran its own government with little or no oversight by anyone, and no elections. DeSantis ended that and Disney sued. Disney lost.

There are tons of videos showing how bad and why Disney ****ed up, but Disney doesn't seem to really care because the news cycles are so short, most of their revenue comes from the parks, and people are still packing into them.

We used to take our kids and grandkids to Disney World every 2-3 years. We spent tens of thousands of dollars doing it. We had FL resident annual passes. We will never go there again after the way Disney ****ed over FL residents during the COVID scamdemic.

Well, after a few dozen flicks starring some imaginary cartoon or hyped up dog/person/cat/bird whatever, they run out of ideas......

Kind of leading the way for all of Hollywood, the audiences have seen it all before, so how many variations can they make on one basic subject matter???

They alienated their core base (straight males) and replaced all of the plots with woke, gayness, and the mighty non-white woman then wondered why the movies failed epically.

I thought it was great that they spent millions on the ultra woke Snow White remake and had to shut it down after filming was complete because of the lead actress

Disney Snow White Rachel Zegler Controversy Explained

The whole issue began when an interview with Rachel Zegler started going viral on the internet. The main actress spoke about Snow White’s story and told the interviewer that her character would not be focused on finding love. Zegler even took it up a notch and claimed that the prince is not even necessary to the story, and could be easily removed as he is just Snow White’s stalker.

Zegler added: “She’s not going to be saved by the prince and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”
So, Why Did this Get Backlash?

Zegler told the interviewer that a strong woman does not need a man to help her and that her only focus is to be brave and fearless. This opened up the discussion for the “feminist” approach that Zegler wanted to convey.

However, the issue at hand is that Zegler enforced the ideal that a woman should not want a man to save her, downplaying the desire to find “true love”. The backlash intensified as people were questioning if she truly knows what being a feminist means and whether the actress realizes that traditional women are also part of feminist activism. This further made the point that feminism deals with allowing women to have a choice for their desired life path.

Talk about getting a movie canceled before it is even released! Rachel Zegler surely got into some heated fire after the claim she made. What do you think? Do you agree that Snow White’s story needs to be changed this way?

Disney failed when it went from a Christian controlled company to something else. That's not to say that Walt produced overtly Christian themed content, but it was wholesome, family friendly content. Iger started their decline, and it's just snowballed downhill since.

You have to start laying blame at Michael Eisner's feet, too. The corporate buildup with bean counters controlling everything and content really got into full gear with him.

In general, Disney has not aged well. At the same time, they ended up in a bit of a culture shift that left them in a bad spot.

In their heyday, the park appealed to kids from very small to much older. As time passed, older kids lost interest in anything that wasn't a video game or on a tablet or phone. That left the entire park to adults and small kids. Hard to maintain that business model. Enter the gay days, the bars, Epcot, and ultimately wokeness, just to stay relevant. The park and Disney changed a lot less than the demographic did. I would not have wanted to be in their position.
