Default Saw Elton John in concert...
He was here Tuesday night. Sold-out crowd of 9,100. Opening with cellists doing their own take on AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, John appeared in his trademark glasses and a long rhinestone-encrusted jacket, rolling into Bennie and the Jets not long after.

John last visited here in March 1999. He played solo that night, an intimate performance with just him and his piano. But Tuesday night he had a full band that provided a certain ummmph! to the evening. Then there was Rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Candle In the Wind. It seemed like he sang every one of his 56 Top 40 songs...except Funeral For a Friend, which I suppose is too long for concert purposes.

In short, one helluva performance...especially at age 65!

That's Davey Johnstone. He's been with Elton John since the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road days...maybe earlier.

According to the article in your link, it was #14 in the setlist. Maybe during a bathroom break?

(I've seen him around 4-5 times, but most recent is probably 10 years ago. 1st time was the first tour without his long-time backing band, around 1977).
