Default GTO out of the shop!

Took 2 weeks of 8 hour days to do all the work which they carefully documented with 200+ pictures. First class act

Lots of fab work involved with the complete upgrading of brakes, suspension and steering.

The handling is outstanding, almost no body roll in corners, very stable but not stiff riding (QA1s are 12 way adjustable shocks) and stops very evenly with minimal pedal effort. Just

I'll post some more pics up when I get the disc from the shop.
Scott

New stance is slightly lower

6 piston calipers front and 4 for rear

New master and booster

Sway bars front and back, control arms, the whole chalupa

Rear sway bar and trailing arms

Topside shot of upper control arm and steering rack assembly

Absolutely beautiful. I had a 66 Pontiac Star Chief Executive as my first (and crappy) car and always drooled over the GTO's. At least my car had the 389, just a two-barrel carb though.

Well done, sir. Wheels aren't too big and look good proportionately. I like the five spoke style. Still has a period correct, kinda old school look. Congrats!

The old Star Chiefs were cool too. Reminds of of the "offbeat" brands that we didn't know existed when were were kids in the late 70s/early 80s; like the Biscayne, the Satellite etc.

That has been a big challenge for me. I wanted to find a Cragar or Torq Thrust styled wheel that was plus sized but still left some meat on the rim for comfort.
Not interested in some ghetto donks, just a wheel that looks good on the car.

I may switch wheels yet, I'm not totally sold on them but the sizing is about right for my taste.

The tube rolled control arms are really well made and there's only a couple companies in the game that are making high quality kits that work with the existing frame.

Chris and I are trying to finalize drivetrain details in the next week or so.
Targeting ~650-700 hp NA that is very streetable and dependable.
